As a Senior Speech Pathologist and Care Coordinator with over 15 years of healthcare experience, I’ve worked extensively across rural and major metropolitan settings. My expertise spans complex communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, with a focus on client-centered care and healthcare accessibility.
Whilst currently working as a Speech Pathologist in Geelong and on the Surf Coast, I am also undertaking a Master of Public Health (Research Pathway) at La Trobe University, due for completion in 2025. I bring my clinical expertise to KsafeT, with a focus on developing evidence-based training programs and a desire to improve community and public health.
My commitment to breaking down healthcare barriers is supported by specialised training in health literacy, chronic disease management and motivational interviewing, principles of which form the basis of preventative healthcare and health empowerment, the cornerstones of KsafeT’s programs and service delivery model.
My expertise will assist KsafeT in the ongoing delivery of industry leading, evidence-based learning to support the impact of training undertaken and delivered by KsafeT.
Simon uses his 12+ years experience as a practicing clinician and additional time as an educator, to adapt to a range of different corporate roles. He has a natural ability to work with a broad range of people, as he can adapt to, and work effectively across many different types of cultural and societal boundaries.
I can highly recommend the sensational work of Simon Hastings. He’s excellent in business but also gives back to the community through K’Sparkle and Dads Group. To find out more about this, read his stories on the Humans in Geelong Website or watch his video on the Humans in Geelong Online Expo 2020. Thanks so much Simon.

Simon has a natural ability to connect with students of all ages. He creates connection through determining what the student is interested in, the curriculum link (if applicable), and is always calm and engaging with his approach.
